It's that calm interval between the introduction of Samsung's Galaxy S flagships and the introduction of its other flagships that also happen to fold. So now is the ideal time to refresh its midrange A series and further the mayhem. We'll concentrate on the Galaxy A54, although Samsung will also release the Galaxy A34 in other countries, including the UK, which is a comparable but less expensive handset.
While there aren't any substantial modifications from the Galaxy A53 to the A54, there are some noticeable ones, such as a redesign that is more in line with the high-end Galaxy S family and metal detailing on the cameras, which now protrude from the back separately from one another.
The screen is now 6.4 inches in size (the previous had a 6.5-inch screen), but the resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 remains the same. Samsung has increased the maximum brightness to 1,000 nits this year, though. The business is going further by including Vision Booster to improve sight when your environment is a little too bright, which should be evident in daylight. The Exynos 1380, Samsung's most recent in-house semiconductor, is the 5nm octa-core processor that powers the A54. According to Samsung, this should result in a 20% performance gain for CPU operations and a 26% improvement for GPU tasks. We're hoping the A54 is a little bit more capable than the A53 of the previous year, even though it was difficult to push the phone to its limits during hands-on time. The battery size has not changed from Samsung's previous model year, which is a good thing because the device's two-day battery life was one of its strong qualities when we tested it.
With regard to imaging, For the A-series this year, there is yet another triple-camera array. A 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.8 lens are all present. With the 2023 update, Samsung has also preserved the 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Larger pixels (more detail, less noise), according to the manufacturer, and improved optical stabilisation, from 0.95 degrees of stability up to 1.5 degrees, are among the camera system changes. The Galaxy A54 is available in the US in two glossy shades: black and violet. You can select between the white and lime colour schemes elsewhere. A few of our photos feature the Galaxy A34, which I believe is actually nicer than the more expensive A54. It has a notch selfie camera, a slightly larger screen, and a hypnotic, recognisable pearlescent finish. Only the A54, however, is coming to the US and will cost $450 when it launches on April 6th.
