To close a serious security hole, immediately update your Mac, iPhone, and iPad

You must immediately upgrade your devices since Apple has just released a Rapid Security Response for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Rapid Security Responses are time-sensitive patches that are only released when Apple software has a serious security vulnerability.

These most recent ones, released on July 10, will upgrade iOS 16.5.1, iPadOS 16.5.1, and macOS Ventura 13.4.1. A security update was also applied to Safari 16.5.2 on macOS Big Sur and macOS Monterey.

According to Apple's release notes, the security flaw in question affects "arbitrary code execution" while processing web content in macOS, Safari, iOS, and iPadOS, which means that a rogue website might possibly lead to the installation of malicious software on your device. Even worse, Apple claims to be aware of information suggesting that hackers may have actively exploited the problem.

Go to Settings and see if there are any updates available if you want to keep your devices safe. If there are, save your work and install the updates as soon as you can.
