Teaser for Apple's newest post-apocalyptic thriller, "Silo,"

Apple has another one under its sleeve, so hopefully you aren't sick of post-apocalyptic TV shows just yet. The first teaser for the Hugh Howey novel series adaptation Silo, which will premiere on Apple TV+ on May 5th, has been made available.

The last 10,000 inhabitants of the planet are profiled in Silo. They reside in a mile-underground bunker, but it is unknown how or why the silo was created or why they were placed there. Finding out only leads to disaster. Engineer Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) learns some unexpected secrets while trying to figure out why a loved one was killed.

The teaser doesn't reveal too much, but it does give viewers a glimpse of the multi-level silo and how its inhabitants, like growing food, manage to thrive there. The show's cast is strong and includes actors like Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche (who plays Dickinson), David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, and Tim Robbins in addition to Ferguson.

Saw and Finch are two of the post-apocalyptic TV series and films that have been made available on Apple TV+. In contrast to the impending Extrapolations, which examines how climate change may decimate the earth by the middle of the 21st century, Foundation is mostly about the fall of a galactic empire. Silo can be another one to check out if you haven't grown tired of watching TV dramas that take place after society has collapsed.
