With numerous new emoji and bug fixes, iOS 16.4 is now available

Check your alerts if you have an Apple device: For each of its key Platforms, Apple has formally published upgrades. There are 21 new emoji in MacOS 13.3, iOS / iPadOS 16.4, and WatchOS 9.4 upgrades, as well as better voice isolation for calls and a few small bug improvements

The emoji keyboard initially consists of five new animals, two new hand motions, three new heart colours, and a selection of common home items including a folding fan, a flute, and maracas. You'll benefit from the more subtle upgrades when you're not spamming your friends with the new goose emoji. Voice Isolation, a feature of modern cellular calls, is made to cancel out background noise. To keep your albums tidy, the Duplicates album in Photos will now perform a cross-check with photographs located in the iCloud Shared Photo Library. On top of a number of bug improvements for content management concerns, there is also a new accessibility function that gently dims the screen when it detects flashing lights or strobe effects in video material.

The new HomeKit architecture that Apple removed from iOS 16.2 and MacOS Sierra 13.1 last year is also being reintroduced by the company. Users at the time complained that the Home App's display of smart home gadgets wasn't accurate and that some Siri commands weren't functioning properly. Along with those problems being corrected, according to Apple, a pairing issue with Matter-compatible has also been fixed.

Are new Emojis ready to be sent? By accessing the settings app on your device, you can update and try the most recent OS for yourself.
