The "Spider-Verse"-inspired "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" trailer brings action back to the sewers

The turtles are back! The trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, a reboot and follow-up animated picture directed by Seth Rogen, has been made public by Paramount Pictures. Rogen's rendition stands out from earlier variations thanks to its vibrant colours and comic-book animation, which was initially seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from 2018.

The youthful heroes are shown running around and snapping photographs of daily activities in the teaser, which serves as a reminder that the TMNT are still "teenagers" in this iteration. You will witness them using swords and ninja stars to slice watermelons (as they should), and Donatello once impaled Raphael with his own blade. The movie discusses how April O'Neil came to be, however a significant portion of it concentrates on how they were formerly common turtles that evolved into mutants after coming into contact with poisonous ooze, not "goo," as April claims.

Brady Noon plays Raphael, Micah Abbey plays Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. plays Michelangelo, and Nicolas Cantu plays Leonardo. Additional cast members include John Cena as Rocksteady, Ayo Edebiri as April O'Neil, Rogen as Bebop, and Jackie Chan as Master Splinter (see that coming a mile away). Hannibal Buress, Rose Byrne, Ice Cube, and Natasia Demetriou, who play Genghis Frog, Leatherhead, Superfly, and Wingnut, respectively, are some of the other cast members. Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad will portray Baxter Stockman, Post Malone from the music industry will play Ray Fillet, Paul Rudd from the MCU's Ant-Man will play Mondo Gecko, and Maya Rudolph from Disenchanted will play Cynthia Utrom.

They were produced in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and Mirage Studios released them. In addition to Rogen, the movie is being managed by Point Grey Pictures producers James Weaver and Evan Goldberg, with Jeff Rowe serving as director. The film is a partnership between Paramount and Nickelodeon Pictures, and Brendan O'Brien, who penned the 2014 comedy Neighbors, authored the screenplay. Mikros Imaging and Cinesite produced the animation.

On August 4, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will open in theatres.
