Bill Gates claims that "people exaggerate AI and make it look stupid."

Although some people irritate artificial intelligence and make it seem "stupid," it doesn't represent a threat to people. Gates said, "Alright, there's no threat," in response to a Financial Times reporter's question about whether he was concerned about artificial intelligence. The Financial Times published a podcast featuring him on Thursday. He claimed that the majority of people are using technology that is a generation outdated.

This is version three as opposed to what is already a part of Bing and will soon be made available to more people. His comments come in reaction to allegations that Microsoft's brand-new Bing, which is driven by AI, is responding to user queries in an unsettlingly human-like fashion. Microsoft claimed in a blog post that if users talk to Bing for a long time, Bing can be "provoked" into returning unexpected results.

Bing still makes errors and says "strange things," but users need to "provoke it quite a bit," according to the Microsoft co-founder who spoke to the Financial Times. If you just sit there and stir things up a little, it's not really apparent who should take the responsibility, Gates told the Financial Times. According to a press statement from the firm, he stated in the interview that he was heavily active with Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service, which employs Microsoft cloud computing technology to enable businesses to access AI tools like ChatGPT.

Gate, though, argues that the problems with AI are primarily the fault of those in control rather than the AI itself. He warned the Financial Times that these organisations might utilise AI to conduct spoofing or hacks. He believes that AI will boost productivity even though he expects some job displacement as a result of it. The speaker also brought up the anticipated effects of AI on renewable energy sources. Gates and Microsoft representatives did not immediately respond to an inquiry from Insider.
