8BitDo controllers now work with Apple devices

If you utilise Apple devices, you are no longer need to pass on 8BitDo's gamepads. Thanks to both firmware updates and Apple's most recent iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3, tvOS 16.3, and macOS 13.2 updates, 8BitDo has announced that their controllers now officially support iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Just the Lite SE, Pro, Pro 2, SN30 Pro+, SN30 Pro for Android, and Ultimate Controller 2.4g are compatible, although further versions are "incoming."

Our best mobile gaming controllers are already some of the company's products, and for good reason. They make claims about excellent ergonomics, extensive customizability, and (in some cases) a hint of nostalgia. Switching between your Apple devices and other gear, such as consoles and Computers, is comparatively simple. They are therefore especially useful if you play action games away from home or just don't want to fiddle with a touchscreen.

There are other excellent choices for mobile controllers than these. The Nimbus and Stratus versions from SteelSeries are ideal for enthusiasts looking for an Xbox-style pad. And the Razer Kishi is your best option if you want to improvise a Switch or Steam Deck. Even still, having extra options for Apple-friendly input is a nice thing, especially if you appreciate 8BitDo's priorities.
